Joku aika sitten kyllästyin valmistamaan AG Bouncereita ja päätinkin julkaista sen valmistusohjeet. Siitä asti olen saanut paljon positiivista palautetta käyttäjiltä.

Tänään sain seuraavanlaisen viestin eräältä käyttäjältä, josta hahmottuu AG Bouncerin hyödyt verrattuna Gary Phongin Lightsphere hajoittajaan:

I tried making my own many years ago, but never found a design I was happy with.  I later purchased a Lumiquest Ultrasoft, but I was never very happy with the results: large obvious shadows, and too much light loss.

I modified the design slightly:  I used the full 50cm width of the roll to make the diffuser bigger, and split the second piece of velcro in half, so that the clear plastic is in contact with the flash head all the way around (to enhance the grip).  I also added a piece of opaque white plastic to the rearward facing half to try to direct more light forward.

I have done some experiments comparing the AG Bouncer to my old Lumiquest Ultrasoft and a ceiling bounce.  The AG Bouncer is much brighter and softer than the Lumiquest.  It produced results similar to, and often more pleasing than a ceiling bounce.  The presence of a light coloured ceiling enhances the power and softness a bit, but it also produces excellent results when there's no ceiling to help out.

Aside from being about 5% of the cost of a Gary Fong Lightsphere, it can also be rolled-up and put in your pocket or camera bag. Try doing that with a Lightsphere!

Great idea!  I think I'll be making some for my friends if my wife doesn't use the leftover materials to line shelves.

tein vähän vastaavan samasta materiaalista.

Huomasin hyväksi keinoksi noiden tarrojen kiinnittämiseen varsinkin tuolla nystyräiselle puolelle tiputtaa muutaman tipan hetipiti-liimaa pohjalle.
Tuntuu muuten irtoilevan vähänkään ahkerammassa käytössä.

Kovassa käytössä mullakin häissä, mutta eipä ole irronnut salamasta. AG Bounceri tosin pitää vetää tiukalle kiinni niillä tarrateipeillä jo kiinnitysvaiheessa niin ei myöhemmin liukahda pois ja on helppo irroittaa salamasta. Nuo liimat yms lisukkeet ovat mielestäni vain haitta ja kohta koko salama on tahmainen :D

Kyllähän se liima kuivuu.
Ja se liima on kuitenkin tuolla muovin ja tarranauhan välissä pitämässä sitä tarranauhaa tuossa nystyräpinnassa kiinni.
Pari tippaa laadukasta tavaraa sinne väliin on hyvä tuikata tarvittaessa.

Joo, ymmärsin tekstisi väärin. Luulin, että laitoit liimaa salaman pinnalle.

Joo se tarra irtoaa muovista helposti, itse niittasin tarranauhan kiinni Bounceriin. Näin ei tarvi murehtia jos liima murenisi pakkasessa tai liian kuivassa yms.
